THE ASSIGNMENT

Under the supervision of the Country Director, and in close collaboration with the ROL Centers Field Program Manager, National Program Manager, and the Field Program Associate, the Communications Officer will be responsible for the following:

Support implementation and monitoring of the ROL Centers Communications Plan, including:

  • Training ROL Centers staff on implementation of the Communications Plan;

  • Acting as focal point for media engagement at ROL Centers events;

  • Working with ROL Centers staff to develop and manage communications for outreach events;

  • Develop and publish ROLCenters communications materials, including print and audio-visual materials;

  • Other activities that may be required in the implementation of the Communications Plan;

  • Manage communications activities related to IDLO’s Institutional Capacity Development Component of work;

  • Where joint IDLO-UNDP approval is required for release of communications materials, act as focal point for liaison with UNDP;

  • Remain up to date with donor branding and other communications requirements, and ensure communications materials are in compliance with these requirements;

  • Liaise with the External Relations Department at IDLO HQ in Rome concerning communications related issues, including:

  • Maintaining and updating the Myanmar page on IDLO’s organizational website;

  • Developing new communications content for the website;

  • Manage and monitor the ROL Centers Website, Facebook page and other social media platforms, including:

  • Implementing the ROL Centers Facebook Policy;

  • Continually monitoring and updating page content;

  • Developing new content for the page, including coverage of ROLC activities, highlights and success stories

  • Monitoring public postings on the page, and ensuring compliance with page guidelines and code of conduct;

  • Other, similar duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
