THE ASSIGNMENT

Under the supervision of the Capacity Development Expert and National Training Coordinators, and in close collaboration with the Training Development Officers and National Trainers, the Junior Trainers will be responsible for the following:

  • Using the ROL Centers Foundations in Rule of Law course Curriculum and other relevant legal training materials, work with the National Trainers to deliver the following training courses, and other capacity development exercises, as designated in the project work plan:

  • Foundations in ROL courses for law teachers, lawyers and community representatives

  • Mobile intensive trainings for community leaders

  • Legal skills or specific legal topic workshops

  • Support planning for, participate in and deliver training in Community Outreach Events organized at each ROL Center.

  • Support the coordination, organization and logistics of each training and outreach event within the ROL Centers, including in collaboration with the Outreach Officer;

  • Administer and analyze pre-training and post-training tests of participants' understanding of the training topics and provide an assessment of success of the training based on the results of these tests;

  • Assist the National Trainers to produce training reports that provide an individualized assessment for participants, capture the attainment of the learning outcomes, recommendations made by participants on how to improve the performance of legal practitioners and any recommendations for future trainings at the end of the training;

  • Together with the National Trainers, conduct post training mentoring and coaching sessions with trainees, support facilitation of follow up graduate meetings and provide follow up support to graduates as needed;

  • Assist in drafting weekly activities report including reports on mentoring and coaching sessions, and send it to National Training Coordinator;

  • Work with National Trainers to ensure that all external trainers received TOT; Ensure that working files are integrated, that correspondence, reports and payment documents filed, and that essential documents are filed properly and scanned;

  • Assist with curriculum revision and development as needed and other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor and/or National Trainers.
