Palladium seeks a Monitoring and Evaluation Lead for the USAID-funded Livelihoods and Inclusive Finance Expansion (LIFE) program. The goal of LIFE is to build capacity of microfinance institutions (MFIs) and the country's microfinance association to improve the enabling environment for microfinance institutions and expand quality lending to a wider group of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) throughout Lebanon, including rural areas. Palladium is looking for motivated and dynamic individuals with a strong track record in M&E program design, data collection and analysis, and reporting (both internal and external).
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Lead will lead efforts to track, aggregate, and develop reports on project achievements, and the resulting impact on target populations. Regular documentation of project success rates is critical to overall project success and maintaining organized and updated files and responding to requests for information on project performance will be part of the M&E Lead's role. The M&E Lead will also lead annual learning events with the LIFE team and key partners to facilitate adaptive management of program activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall M&E process; design M&E program and systems, data collection instruments and protocols, data analysis, and reporting procedures
- In consultative process, identify and define project indicators, establishes baselines, and sets targets
- Responsible for quality of data and analyses
- Coordinate with home office M&E experts on quality assurance
- Collaborate with Communications Manager to identify opportunities for sharing results with stakeholders
- Manage annual and routine learning events with team and partners.
Reporting The M&E Lead will report to the LIFE Deputy Chief of Party.
Deliverables Deliverables will include the project M&E plan, quarterly, annual, and final reports for USAID, as well as data upon request and keeping databases up to date.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (M.A. preferred) in Business, Finance, Economics, International Development, or a related field
- Experience working on USAID or other donor funded programs preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience providing M&E support for international or donor-led projects, with demonstrated excellence
- Prior experience leading quantitative and qualitative research efforts preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills in English and Arabic
- Strong ability and desire to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
- Ability to travel throughout the country to gather data, conduct project monitoring, verify and disseminate project results
