Palladium seeks three (3) Field Coordinators (North, South, and Bekaa Valley) for the USAID-funded Livelihoods and Inclusive Finance Expansion (LIFE) program. The goal of LIFE is to build capacity of microfinance institutions (MFIs) and the country's microfinance association to improve the enabling environment for microfinance institutions and expand quality lending to a wider group of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) throughout Lebanon, including rural areas. Palladium is looking for motivated and dynamic individuals who are passionate about communications and outreach, and achieving project goals and objectives, including increased incomes and entrepreneurship among underserved Lebanese populations in communities hosting Syrian refugees.

The Field Coordinator will be responsible for regional project outreach and communications, as well as supporting successful project implementation and activities (e.g. data collection, event organization, liaising with media, projects partners, and supporting MFI and NGO training and capacity building) in his/her designated region (North, South, or Bekaa Valley).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the regional point of contact for the LIFE project in the region, conducting outreach of project activities with entrepreneurs, communities, private sector organizations, NGOs and microfinance entities
  • Serve as the project's local media liaison, maintaining press contacts and sharing information about project activities
  • Support successful implementation of key assessments and studies as required
  • Identify potential project partners and regional business advisory services firms
  • Facilitate project data collection activities as needed
  • Support organization of trainings, technical assistance and field information sessions in his/her region, including bidder's events
  • Support delivery of technical assistance packages and training by project partners
  • Support process of due diligence, monitoring and evaluation of regional grant recipients and sub-recipients
  • Organize, plan and facilitate field visits for project staff and USAID
  • Perform local administrative activities as needed

Reporting The Field Coordinator will report to LIFE's Training Coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Development, or related field
  • Experience working with international donors highly preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be comfortable being the point of contact of a USAID project with regional stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work in a proactive, independent, and flexible manner, responding quickly and decisively to program needs.
  • Demonstrated professional network in the relevant region (North, South, Bekaa Valley); media contacts preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with limited guidance
  • Must be based in target field region (North, South, or Bekaa Valley)
  • Lebanese citizenship. Fluency in Arabic required, English skills required
