DANCHURCHAID (DCA) INVITES PROPOSALS FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICE FOR BASELINE STUDY FOR SAVE LIVES AND BUILD RESILIENCE
The Consultancy Service is required to conduct a baseline study to provide program baseline data for DCA-NCA Resilience programme 2017-2021 in the target areas. This will be done in close consultation with DCA-NCA Myanmar team and partners.
Prior to starting work, the consultant (s) will be expected to review, with DCA -NCA Team, TOR and to jointly develop a detailed inception report that explains the methodology to be applied for the field assessment including a work plan. The work plan should detail all the activities in a Gant chart and show the duration of each task.
DELIVERABLES
-Inception report including initial work plan and detailed methodology, analysis plan, report outlines, survey tools, process of data collection, analysis as well as final set of data-collection tools and the revised budget if needed
-Draft report of the survey for the feedback and comments from DCA-NCA
-Presentation on the main findings of the assessment involving DCA-NCA team and partners
-Final report in English not exceeding 30 pages excluding annexes
CONSULTANCY PERIOD
The consultancy will be for 20 - 25 days including travel days.
QUALIFICATION PROFILE
The following key competencies are required of the people to be involved with this Consultancy (s)
-Excellent practical and theoretical understanding of humanitarian and development work in Myanmar
-Strong knowledge and experience of the climate resilience livelihood, food security, protection, mitigation disaster risks
-Demonstrated analytical and writing skills
-Experience and ability in programme baseline survey and evaluations
-Experience in participatory methods and process
-Experience of engaging with local partners, including faith-based organizations
-Experience of using mobile application
