Myanmar: A MENTAL HEALTH PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT TRAINER - MYANMAR

We are looking for:

A MENTAL HEALTH PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORTTRAINER

Country: MYANMAR – Maungdaw district** Team of around 50 national staff, large geographical area covered, stable but isolated living conditions for expatriates.

Length of contract: 4 months starting date from the 1st of May 2017**

The Position: The MHPSS Trainer will provide training and ongoing supervision to current ACF psychosocial workers for a sustainable improvement and expansion of their MHPSS intervention, delivered through ACF’s Nutrition program targeted at children and mothers/caregivers. More precisely, the main responsibilities will be:

Design training curricula in collaboration with UNFPA

  • Develop training curriculum and implementation schedule
  • Organize the logistics of the training including any materials necessary for the training such as power point presentation, handouts, pre and posttests, etc.
  • Supervise timely translation of training material by specialized translator

Conduct training

  • Conduct the required training following the timeline defined in work plan
  • Adapt training schedule to access constraints of ACF staff
  • Collaborate with ACF logistic team, NRS MHCP PM and UNFPA MHPSS specialist in the logistic set up of the training
  • Brief translator on training methodology, adapt training format to translation requirements, debrief with specialized translator to address any translation-related challenges

Ensure monitoring and supervision of MHPSS intervention

  • Design monitoring and supervision tools and train ACF team on their use
  • Ensure monitoring and supervision sessions according to field access
  • Collect feedback from team leadership members on field monitoring
  • Continuously debrief with specialized translator to address any translation-related challenges

Design, launch and ensure GBV data analysis

  • Supervise specialized translator in GBV-related data translation
  • Ensure measures are taken, and appropriately followed to guarantee confidentiality of data translated
  • Design data analysis tool to support data entry and guide analysis
  • Supervise data entry and ensure quality check through regular monitoring/feedback with specialized translator
  • Ensure data analysis and report

Ensure coordination with protection and health actors in NRS

  • Participate to coordination mechanisms with protection and health actors
  • Contribute to advocacy on consideration of MHPSS needs
  • Provide technical support to protection and health actors on psychosocial interventions (including co-facilitation of MHPSS training with UNFPA)

Produce a final report, including below elements

  • Background and context of intervention,
  • All information on methodology of the training that can be used for future trainings, including training supports (ppt, hand-outs…),
  • Feedback from monitoring and supervision sessions, both by expat and by team leadership members
  • Recommendations for future capacity building plan
  • Input on MHPSS component for potential sexual and reproductive health/GBV project design

The Applicant:** You hold a master degree in clinical psychology, and demonstrate both successful clinical and humanitarian field experiences in Mental Health and Care Practices. You have SGBV services experience, you worked as a psychosocial support service provider (not only clinical counselling) and on program management. You already have worked with Muslim populations.

Recognized for your relational and communicational skills, you have developed strong training and team supervision capacities. You are also well organized and have a good sense of adaptability. You are experienced with external coordination.

Your English (oral and written) is fluent.

A first experience with ACF would be an asset.

Status:**

Salaried - Gross monthly salary ranging from €1805 to €2305

Food and hygiene expenses, per diem, transportation costs, collective accommodation and medical insurance

25 days of annual paid leaves and 20 days of rest and recuperation (R&R) per year
