Myanmar: DCoP - Myanmar-Advancing Community Empowerment

World Vision seeks a DCoP - Myanmar-Advancing Community Empowerment for the proposed USAID-funded Advancing Community Empowerment in Southeast Myanmar (ACESM). The project will result in services that are provided in a way that is inclusive and respectful of the Myanmar’s diverse communities, enhance cooperation and linkages between state and community stakeholders, and promote decision making that is more responsive and accountable to communities. To achieve this goal, this Activity will pursue the following objectives:

Objective 1: Community vulnerabilities reduced;

Objective 2: Community participation strengthened; and

Objective 3: Local governance systems strengthened.

Requirements include:

  • At least 7 years of experience in humanitarian affairs, development, local governance strengthening or related fields.
  • Professional experience in implementing donor-funded projects and strong management experience with preference for USAID funded donor experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Myanmar context and of humanitarian, local governance development issues in Myanmar.
  • Must have Professional-level English, both written and oral.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Be prepared to travel to implementation sites and regional, global meetings as required.
