RESPONSIBILITES:**

  • The Senior Community Activity Manager is responsible for various technical components of the Activity aimed at the community level.
  • He or she must ensure that Activity components focused on community involvement are results-oriented with high-quality deliverables.
  • The Senior Community Activity Manager actively participates in technical meetings, maintaining positive relationships with implementing partners who support community health workers, networks, and advocacy groups for people living with HIV/AIDS.

QUALIFICATIONS:**

  • A Master's degree in health management or relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of implementing partner or donor experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in health management or relevant field with a minimum of 15 years of health project management experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in health service delivery, community development, capacity building or coordinating with local CSOs, including community-based organizations (CBOs) and faith-based organizations (FBOs); preferably familiar with community-based HIV/AIDS interventions, or otherwise the capacity and motivation to acquire an in-depth knowledge of this field in a short time.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively train and build capacity of community partners and health providers.
  • Experience in using data for decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders including ministries of health, local health staff, and local officials to implement improvements in health care.
  • Possesses clear communication in English as well as French and coordination skills.

The successful candidate will have excellent writing, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and cross-cultural skills; demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize a variety of tasks on short notice within designated deadlines; and an interest in future overseas posting with PSI.
