CARE Australia is seeking to fill the position of an exciting new project management role, the Enhancing Women’s Voice to STOP Sexual Harassment Project Director or STOP Project Director in the Mekong Region. This project aims to target sexual harassment as a key obstacle to women’s economic rights at national levels through improved policy settings and better workplace practices and protections in garment factories.
The role provides leadership and management of a multi-country team that will implement this exciting new DFAT funded project across the Mekong and s accountable for the implementation of the project and its activities in four countries-Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos. The role leads and builds the capacity of a team of project managers and a regional technical advisor and undertakes networking with stakeholders. The role also undertakes representational, program development duties and development of costed work plans and budgets.
Your significant experience and technical expertise in the implementation, management and budget preparation of programs with a focus on women’s empowerment and gender equality workplace programming will be highly regarded. Your high-level commitment and competency in development of gender transformative and rights based programming, supporting a team led approach will be complemented by program development experience in decent/dignified work approaches. Your demonstrated leadership, representational, liaison and negotiation skills including experience in capacity and team building with a high level of communication and time management skills will set you apart from others.
