Lebanon: Clinical Psychologist

1. Provide clinical interview and assessment within UNRWA health centers and recommendations

2. Provide psychological support, psycho education (for the beneficiary and his/her care givers) and refer internally and externally as needed;

3. In collaboration with social workers and/or nurses, conduct awareness sessions to the community, regarding mental health and psychological issues;

4. Conduct awareness sessions for staff, when asked, regarding mental health and psychological issues

5. Coordinate with the staff of UNRWA (nurses, doctors, psychiatrists, social workers and school counselors when needed) for a better case management;

6. Conduct clinical assessment for special need cases and refer to specialist

7. Support the PHC on the implementation of the mhGAP-IG training, when applicable;

8. Report to the senior mental health advisor with whom coordination and meetings will take place to ensure the harmony of the work in different areas;

9. Maintain a database of counseled beneficiaries and awareness sessions, and manage reporting as required by the Project Manager;

10. Attend team meetings in LFO;

11. Report administratively to respective area health officer;

12. Respect beneficiary confidentiality and address needs and requests in a professional way

13. Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others

14. Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
