Provide clinical interview and assessment within UNRWA health centers and recommendations
Provide psychological support, psycho education (for the beneficiary and his/her care givers) and refer internally and externally as needed;
In collaboration with social workers and/or nurses, conduct awareness sessions to the community, regarding mental health and psychological issues;
Conduct awareness sessions for staff, when asked, regarding mental health and psychological issues
Coordinate with the staff of UNRWA (nurses, doctors, psychiatrists, social workers and school counselors when needed) for a better case management;
Conduct clinical assessment for special need cases and refer to specialist
Support the PHC on the implementation of the mhGAP-IG training, when applicable;
Report to the senior mental health advisor with whom coordination and meetings will take place to ensure the harmony of the work in different areas;
Maintain a database of counseled beneficiaries and awareness sessions, and manage reporting as required by the Project Manager;
Attend team meetings in LFO;
Report administratively to respective area health officer;
Respect beneficiary confidentiality and address needs and requests in a professional way
Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others
Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
