Those working for this independent organisation do not solely dispense care and treatment but condemn violations of human dignity and rights and fight to improve matters for populations living in precarious situations. MdM currently works in 44 countries across all continents where it focuses on 4 priority areas: caring for the health of migrants and displaced persons, promoting sexual and reproductive health, harm reduction associated with drug use, emergencies and crisis.MdM has been operating in Myanmar since 1994. Its main programme delivers comprehensive Harm Reduction and HIV/AIDS prevention and care, focusing on the high-risk groups of Drug Users (Kachin State), Female Sex Workers and Men having Sex with Men (Yangon area). In addition, MdM is implementing, in partnership with a local NGO a community-led Harm Reduction program in Kachin as well.**
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the grants officer, you will support Myanmar country program by ensuring high quality grants and sub grants development, compliance and reporting for MdM projects and partnerships. You will oversee the capacity building activities related to MdM and donors’ rules and regulations as well as leads MdM internal and external visibility and communication initiatives.
Your main responsabilities will be to:
Grant management
- Ensure the production of concept notes, proposals and donor reports, in coordinating and compiling the provision of inputs from the different Mission Unit/Departments
- Ensure donor indicators are harmonised for all programs
- Ensure that donors’ feedback and recommendations are considered in future programs development and incorporated into MdM accountability & learning process
- Ensure consistency, quality and coherence between narrative, budget and all related annex
- Ensure timely submission to HQ/Donors, according to established timelines
- Whenever relevant, attend Donor meetings/visits, record and disseminate the information shared
- Ensure submission of External Reporting to Humanitarian Clusters
- Develop training modules and progressively transfer to the field teams the workload and knowledge
- In relation with the deputy general coordinator, develop and regularly update appropriate donor mapping including donors’ strategies and funding opportunity at national level
Compliance
- Regularly review MdM policies, guidelines and internal processes and their adequacy to donors’ compliance requirements
- Provided technical support to different teams to adapt tools and systems to grants compliance needs
Partnership
- Support MdM teams in assessing partnership opportunities, ensuring they can meet MdM strategic and compliance requirements
- Ensure that MdM partners are following grants requirements and recommendations from regular internal and external M&E activities
- Assist the country coordination team during representation activities as necessary
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Status : Volunteer - VSI
Contract : Volunteer - VSI (French status)
Duration : 6 months
915 euros / month + perdiem

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
At least 3 years project/grant management experience in development/humanitarian context
Ability to develop strong proposals to institutional and private donors
Good Knowledge of main donor regulations and priorities
Excellent communication and report writing skills
Strong knowledge of project cycle management
Experience developing communication materials
Experience in partnership development
Demonstrated experience of coordinating and preparing strong narrative and financial reports for a variety of donors
Demonstrated experience developing multiple narrative and cost proposals simultaneously
Experience developing and working with project budgets
Appreciated qualifications
Past experience with Global Fund and/or USAID funds
Knowledge of Myanmar/region environment is a strong asset
