About the role: This is a 6 month, new role with unaccompanied terms based in Halba, Akkar Governorate, Lebanon, with travel to project locations for site monitoring and Beirut for coordination meetings. With a salary of Grade 1 €28,198 - €31,332.
You will report to the Protection Programme Manager and work closely with the Country Director, Programmes Director, Systems Director, Programme Managers, Programme Support Officer; Team Leaders and Field officers

Your purpose:
Reporting to the Protection Programme Manager, the successful candidate will contribute to the quality and development of the protection programme by providing support to programme research development, interagency co-ordination and monitoring and evaluation. The Protection Technical Officer will also provide day to day support to the implementation of the programme and support in staff training and capacity building.
You will be responsible for:
A.Programme Development
• Assist in the development of a Vulnerability Mapping and targeting criteria for Case Management
• Assist in the development of Case Management Standard Operating Procedures
• Assist in the standardizing of internal/external referral processes
• Support in the design and implementation of a service mapping
• Assist in the process of research and documentation of information for programme development as directed
B.Programme Support
• Represent Concern at district level coordination meetings, with local administration, INGO’s and LNGO’s as appropriate and necessary.
• Work with the Protection Programme Manager in building the capacity of national staff
• Support in PCMS documentation as required (proposals, reports, sitreps, etc.)
• Support the Protection Management Team in establishing & maintaining accurate files and records in a safe and secure way – in line with data protection requirements
• With the Programme Manager and MEAL Manager, assist in the roll-out of M&E plan and activities, using Digital Data Gathering Devices (DDGs)
• Support in the collection and analysis of data from the field, as required
C. Accountability
• Support the roll out of CRM across all Concern programmes in Lebanon
• Contribute to organisational accountability initiatives, including overseeing the roll out of commitments of Concern under the CHS (Core Humanitarian Standards)
• Comply with the Programme Participant Protection Policy
Your skills and experience will include:
Essential:
• Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Development Studies, Management, or a related/relevant field.
• Previous experience overseas working in development or emergency for an international NGO
• Proven ability in report writing, research and documentation
• Proven analytical, planning and time management skills.
• Willingness and ability to communicate with people and to contribute to local staff capacity development
• Good team player, flexible and capable of working with a multinational country team
• politically and culturally sensitive
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
We would also like:
• Relevant Masters Level Degree in Humanitarian Assistance, Development Management, Social Work, Psychology or other relevant discipline
• 1 years’ experience in management role
• Arabic/ French language skills
• Outgoing personality with excellent training skills.
• Experience in the field of migration and refugee assistance and protection;
