PURPOSE OF POSITION
To ensure smooth and quality of the WV Lebanon commodities and cash based programs in Cash-sector in alliance with required standards and project requirement in order to provide best possible beneficiary services.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with community groups/committees (Cash Management Committees) within the WV operational areas that shall assist in the implementation of project activities and ensuring participation of communities in project design and implementation.
Prepare and maintain the list of community groups and keep close coordination with these parties and local communities’ groups/committees, as required, shall be organized so as to ratify beneficiary’s targets and brief stakeholders on the implementation progress.
Take the necessary measures to reach the intended beneficiaries within the timelines specified in the plan of operations.
Receipt of Pins/cards from donors (WFP) or from third parties and do through counting and checking and signing of handover notes.
Make the entry of receipt Pins/cards in database.
Maintain a complete profile of the project beneficiaries, either WV selected project beneficiaries or donors selected beneficiaries.
Conduct detailed counting of Pins/cards before issuance to the concerned distribution staff.
Ensure return of Pins/cards is done and returns are kept in safe and traceable order.
Maintain cards/Pins tracking sheet and update on daily basis or after each transaction is conducted.
Ensure Pins are fully accounted for and any loss or damage is recorded and approved by the concerned authorities.
Report the distribution team leader with a summary for all distributions
Assist beneficiaries of cards/Pins in easy usage and access to the assistance.
Maintain a log sheet of the complaints/problems faced by the beneficiaries in usage of the cards.
Provide Distribution team leader full details and information on the problems faced by the beneficiaries related to cards/Pins.
Report to Distribution team leader of any cases belong to lost, damaged, stolen cards and make continuous follow up with the beneficiaries till the right solution is provided.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor’s degree in a development-related field (Preferred: Finance, Accounting Business management etc.) or a Bachelor’s degree in another field with 1 year complimentary relief/development experience (Strongly preferred: field experience).
Relevant Experience in relief project implementation
Experience in project cycle management
1 year experience in local community and within an NGO context
Strong English and Arabic communication skills (oral and written)
Proven ability to develop and manage clear work plans
Proven ability to manage staff
Ability to manage data effectively
Ability to travel across the country regularly for training, assessment, regular monitoring and evaluation
Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina
Ability to manage work life and work without supervision
Able to use a computer, with word-processing and spreadsheets, (e.g. Microsoft Office)
Understanding of internet and email
35% Field work; 65% Office work
