Lebanon: Finance and office support Manager

Would you like to be the new Office Support Manager (OSM) for DanChurchAid’s (DCA) Humanitarian Mine Action programme in Lebanon. As the OSM you will along with 100 colleagues actively support humanitarian mine action activities, and thereby improve the lives of the Lebanese people. We are looking for an OSM who enjoys challenges and taking on responsibility, and who has strong financial, administrative and managerial skills.

The main responsibilities of the OSM are:

Manage support teams (Finance & Administration and Procurement & Logistics) and overseeing the communication, coordination and planning across teams

Develop the leadership skills of senior support staff and oversee the capacity building of other support staff

Support the Programme Manager in donor proposals and report writing

Provide support to and coordinate with national partners

Ensure compliance with a wide array of procedures, standards and legal frameworks, including national law, donor regulations, Core Humanitarian Standards and DCA policies.

What you bring:

You have experience from a financial/administrative management position, and possess HR management skills, preferable from an international non-governmental organisation (INGO). You have a good understanding of the principles of international financial standards along with a profound knowledge of accounting
You have both interest and skills in setting up administrative systems and procedures. In addition, you have knowledge of procurement procedures and rules as well as logistical assistance.
You have well developed co-operation skills at all levels and see capacity building as a natural part of your work. You are diplomatic, patient and persistent.

You also have experience from working in developing or conflict affected countries, and you speak and write English fluently. Knowledge of Arabic is an asset.

What we offer:
DCA offers a 6 month contract (with extension to 12 months subject to funding), starting as soon as possible.

This is a non-family posting.
The duty station is in Bsous , Mount Lebanon with frequent travel to DCA sub-office in Al Houch, South Lebanon
