However, it also runs donor-funded projects to raise the public’s education level on sexual and reproductive health. Established in 2014, the Myanmar organization is growing and will surpass 50 staff in the coming year, in two regional offices.
DKT International invites applications for the following position in Yangon, Myanmar.
Position:Program Officer
Report To: Senior Manager (Program and Operation)
Project: University Reproductive Health Corner (URHC) project
Contract: One year (extendable)
Duty Station: Yangon
Closing Date: until qualified candidate is identified
About the Job: The Program Officer will report to the Senior Manager and be responsible for the planning and design, set up and supervision of the University RH Corners, which will service as launch pads for outreach efforts by volunteers to educate students with activities including online chart advice, phone hotlines, educational posters and annual health fairs.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Developing the work plan, with timeline and budget in coordination with the Senior Manager
- Planning and coordination with the university on the dedicated space, including identification of universities, setting up coordination meetings with university faculty, and all communications
- Organizing the student manager and peer counselor training programs, and coordinating with GP clinics and University Rectors for training programs
- Coordinating with student managers in selecting the volunteers, providing information, advice and referrals.
- Ensuring that the necessary products are being ready in the SRH corners
- Budget expense management and tracking as per donor guidelines
- Ensure compliance to all donor rules and regulations in the project
- Grant report writing for quarterly and annual reports, and coordination with the donor

Qualifications/Requirements:**
- University Degree in any discipline
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in management, coordination and organizing RH and Youth related activities
- Experience in organization and delivery of trainings
- Ability to manage budgets and track expenditure
- Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment
- Have to be active, creative, self-motivated and youth friendly
- Good command of written and spoken English and Myanmar languages
- Ability to use standard application software (e.g. Microsoft Office) and internet applications Ability to travel and work independently
