Title: Project Director, Generating Rubber Opportunities

CARE International in Myanmar is seeking an experienced and motivated person for an exciting project, “Generating Rubber Opportunities” (GRO). The role will provide leadership, management and strategic vision to the implementation of the GRO Myanmar project.
The role will engage in program representation to donors, relevant government entities and other external stakeholders to lead the project in market systems development through engagement of the public and private sectors. The role will also manage staff and ensure program quality and the project meets its target and deliverables on time and within budget.
Your experience in implementing economic development projects using Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) approach will be highly regarded. Your experience in capacity building and skills-transfer, as well as experience mentoring staff will be complemented by your strong communication and influencing skills, including advanced written and verbal English language skills. Demonstrated skills in leadership and management in a complex international setting, as well as excellent people management and ability to develop harmonious teams in a cross-cultural context will set you apart from others.
