About the role
The Project Management Expert/ Team Leader (PME/TL) shall head the Main Implementation Consultant (MIC) Team and shall have overall responsibility for providing technical leadership and overseeing the delivery of project management, capacity building and technical support to Department of Rural Development (DRD) implementing units (Grant Management Unit (GMU) and Grant Implementation Units (GIUs)) and the support service providers in the implementation of Enhancing Rural Livelihoods and Incomes Project (ERLIP). The PME/TL will report directly to the ERLIP Project Manager (DRD) and will work closely with the National Project Coordinator of the ERLIP GMU. The PME/TL will represent the MIC at Union and township levels.

About the program
The Republic of the Union of Myanmar has received a grant from the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction (JFPR) administered by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), to implement the ERLIP. Cardno (Myanmar) has been supporting the Government of Myanmar DRD to implement the project as MIC since June 2016. The objective of the MIC is to provide project management support, capacity development and technical assistance to the GMU at Union level and the GIU as well as the SSP in the three townships where ERLIP is currently piloted to sustain implementation until its closing piloting date in September 2019.

Remuneration
A competitive salary package will be offered to the preferred candidate in line with previous experience.
