Advertised position's roles and responsibilities
· Strengthen relationship with relevant stakeholders and communities in line with communication and engagement strategies to enhance project results
· Promote community-based conservation and ecotourism activities through awareness and capacity building.
· Review project Strategic Result Framework regularly with landscape and site teams to have the same understanding on project targets and indicators.
· Monitor on the achievement of project results at the landscape level against relevant targets and indicators.
· Identify and assess risks and issues with landscape and site team and develop and implement mitigation measures.
· Work with landscape and site teams to develop realistic and achievable work plans and budgets.
· Prepare reports timely by ensuring all required data and information are collected by all teams.
· Provide necessary technical and managerial supports to site teams to implement project activities.
· Supervise landscape and site teams to submit financial and technical reports regularly.
· Other work assignments, duties, and/or functions as WCS or its management may designate or instruct in the course of its operation, which may include assignments, duties, and/or functions that vary from the above.
Advertised position's qualification requirements
· Bachelor Degree in management, forestry, environment, conservation or development (MSc, MA, MBA, MPA and PhD will be PLUS)
· Over three years experience working on conservation and development issues in Myanmar
· Fluent in English and Myanmar languages (IELTS and TOEFL scores of last six months will be PLUS)
· High communication skills
· High computer skills, standard Microsoft office packages, internet and emails (GIS/RS skills will be PLUS).
· Experience with project management
· Ability to work under challenging, complex and risky conditions and in remote areas
· High interpersonal skills such as problem solving and leadership
· High skills for team building and management
· Experience with organizing meetings and workshops and facilitating participants to reach consensus.
· High physical fitness to work in protected areas and remote villages.
