PURPOSE OF POSITION
The purpose of the position is to coordinate the implementation of the “Basic Literacy and Numeracy (BLN)” program in putting together project goals that meets World Vision standards and policies in addressing refugee needs in a sustainable manner that leaves considerable positive impact on the targeted beneficiaries.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate project’s implementation (ADH)
Develop the project action plan and monitor its implementation with the support of the BLN Facilitators.
Coordinate with the information management officer on all the needed Supporting documents (Attendance Sheets, Checklist…)
Send a monthly plan to the Project coordinator beginning of each month.
Submission of a monthly report related to the progress of the work to the project coordinator.
Ensure timely completion of project activities according to the weekly and monthly plan.
Conduct various field visits to the different areas of operations to monitor and supervise the progress of the work periodically with the support of the project coordinator.
Prepare agreement and amendment for the staff and the center and the PR needed for it with coordination with the coordinator.
Oversee the registration of both children and parents, as per the action plan.
Collection of all needed document for the center payments and prepare the PO submit to the finance (Attendance sheet, check of all staff document)
Conduct interview with the HR for BLN facilitators.
Ensure follow up with BLN Facilitators, monitoring of attendance and performance to ensure that activities are delivered according to the expected results and the terms of contracts.
Set weekly meetings with the animators to follow up on the implementation of BLN Curriculum classes and progress of children
Supports the project coordinator with future project proposal
Security management responsibilities and trainings.
Abide by the security procedure, policies and take responsibility for all breaches. World Vision has zero breach tolerance;
Attend all security related training and abides by all taught material;
Immediately report all security related incidents to the project coordinator;
Attend and participate in capacity building trainings locally and internationally as appropriate and necessary and based on funding availability
Ensure that the project staff complies with WVL’s child protection policy, code of conduct and the code of conduct of ICRC in emergencies.
Ensure children’s safety & protection
Identify safety issues and follow-up with the coordinator on the safety and security of the chosen locations
Follow security policies, rules, procedures and instructions
Follow WVI policies for prog/proj security management
Handle reporting and filing
Follow up with animators on the deliveryof progress report of children.
Ensure that a monthly operational progress reports is developed with the animators
Ensure proper filing is done regarding every case, visit and discussion. Report must be written mentioning major points in addition to recommendations and follow-up plan.
Spport the Portfolio Manager, EiE and Outreach Coordinators, in the development of different project reports.
Handle logistics responsibilities as necessary
Prepare and update the list of items to be purchased (PRF) on a monthly basis and coordinate with the Procurement officer.
Perform other relevant tasks as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor degree in a social development related field, (psychology, sociology, specialized education or social animation, social work, human rights)
Academic background in psychology counseling or other related field
Good command of English, both written and oral.
One year experience in a similar related job.
Experience in project implementation, monitoring and report writing
Candidates must have knowledge in working with children.
Knowledge of safety issues concerning infants and children.
Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Ability to cope and work under pressure.
Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package.
Willing to travel within Lebanon with a valid driver’s license
Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team.
Ability to work in difficult and high risk situations Willing to travel within the region approximately 60% of time.
Familiar with core principles of Children Rights, Participation, Do No Harm, Community and Family Support as well as Children in Emergencies minimum standards.
85% field work and 15% Office work.
