Project description:
After the work in school we propose a program leading to prepare competent teachers that are capable to effectively function in a variety of settings diagnosing, assessing, and remediating individuals who require special services. The program’s design includes specific competencies presented sequentially in light of the background and experience of the professional entering the program. The process is self-reflective, integrating past experiences and knowledge with current practices while determining skills for the professional.
Purpose of the consultancy: This program can help teachers:
-To give assessment for learners with learning difficulties
--To have adequate support for learners with learning difficulties.
-To know the policy and regulations related to learners with learning difficulties.
-To discover all resources to support teaching learners with learning difficulties.
-To develop quality processes and procedures related to learners with learning
difficulties.
- To build teachers capacities in order to be qualified for assessing, diagnosing and intervening with students with learning difficulties-To create learning materials for children with learning difficulties
-To apply skills for life in order to improve teaching for children with learning difficulties.
Required tasks from the consultant:
To prepare sessions / trainings for teachers in schools on:
· Ideas and concepts of keeping things in perspective. A learning difficulties isn’t insurmountable.
· How to be an advocate for student with learning difficulties
· How to clarify goals about education program for children with learning difficulties. How to be a good listener and offer a new solution.
· How to discover if your student is a visual learner\ an auditory learner\or a kinesthetic learner.
· How to help student capture knowledge through different learning methods. .
Contractor / Trainer Specifications
Be organized/ able to work with the parents, teachers and students on the Learning difficulties
Be experienced in special education for children with learning difficulties.
Be sufficiently able to fulfill contract requirements within specified timeframe (includes adequate staffing)

Party Responsibilities
World Vision (First Party)
The first party agrees to:
Provide sufficient project funding.
Review second party reports and provide general oversight as necessary.
Contractor (Second Party)
The second party agrees to:
- Submit training sessions to project manager and Technical specialist before start-up of the sessions in order to get their approval on its content.
- After getting approval, implement and conduct all trainings in designated locations and as per the timeline decided with WVL.
Submit a final report detailing:
Attendance of those sessions
Narrative Report detailing the results of the trainings and recommendations.
Required Documents for Bid
Potential second party must submit the following documents to be considered for the project:
Legal registration/certificate for being an official organization.
Proposed sessions overall content.
Proposed budget, detailing:
- Sessions cost
- Workshop costs
In case the Consultant is not registered with Ministry of Finance, a deduction of 7.5 % should always be considered.
How to apply:
- Technical and Financial Bids should be submitted in two separate Sealed Envelopes no later than 16.00 hours GMT on March 1st, 2016 including a detailed Technical and Financial Bids.
The top right-hand side of the envelopes must be clearly marked with the name of the consultant and the subject line “Learning Difficulties” and sent to the below address:
