Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of Programme Policy Officer (M&E), the Programme Assistant will be responsible for, and not limited to, the following duties:
· Manage/ upgrade and control M&E database system;
· Assist in the development of standardized formats (M&E forms) and procedures for project operations in consultation with relevant technical focal points;
· Assess project performance including utilization of resources and achievement of planned targets;
· Prepare statistical tables regarding the project activities for monthly and quarterly progress reports;
· Assist to collect, compile and validate data to be used analytical and reporting purposes;
· Support programme implementation through developing and analyzing databases for Distribution and Post Distribution Monitoring by project activities to the monitoring and evaluation aspects of the programme;
· Provide technical support for M&E database systems and mobile data collection to sub offices and conduct database training;
· Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure WFP is able to quickly respond for reporting and deploy needed resources to affected areas at the onset of the crisis;
· Assist in managing M&E tracking system
· Perform any other appropriate duties as requested by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education:**
Completion of secondary school education. University Degree or a post-secondary certificate in a field related to Information and Communication Technologies will be an advantage.
Desired experience for entry into the role:
Preferable four years of practical experience in work with technical teams, contribute to implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes and observe or assist with policy discussions. Having relevant experiences in UN organization or INGO will be advantaged.
Knowledge & Skill
Training and/or experience using Microsoft Office applications (Office, Excel and Access) required. Experience using analytical software (such as SPSS, STATA) highly desirable. Knowledge of relevant WFP specified software is an asset.
Language:**
Fluency in both oral and written in English and Myanmar.
