Myanmar: Consortium and Partnership Manager, NRC Myanmar

Job description

• Develop consortium programming in coordination with members and relevant NRC staff.
• Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, CC tools, handbooks and guidelines
• Responsible for the development and management of funding proposals, project budgets and donor reports
• Overall management of project staff
• Implement technical direction and ensure high technical quality of project/s
• Coordinate and manage Education project implementation (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements
• Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills
• Liaison and collaborate with relevant local and national authorities and stakeholders and represent NRC in relevant forums/cluster/working groups.
• Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy
• Coordinate with Area Office management to ensure the implementation of NRC SIRP project activities.
• Hold regular consortium meetings and oversee the consortium partners work plans and progress towards goals. Flag any issues with delivery.
• Ensure and support the implementation of the applicable M and E system in coordination with the NRC M and E team and consortium partners’ teams.
• Design and develop partnership working SoPs in collaboration with the Head of Programme

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience from a senior level project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context with extensive experience of working with and through partners
• Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
• Experience of working with the EU as a donor.
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
• Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of SE Myanmar context an advantage
• Knowledge of local languages (Myanmar/Karen languages an advantage)

We offer

• Contract period: 6 months
• Salary/benefits: According to NRC’s general directions
• Duty Station: Yangon, Myanmar with 40% travel required
• This is an unaccompanied post/non family duty station, with shared housing/accomodation of moderate standard.
