Description: SB Overseas is a non-profit organisation registered in Belgium, dedicated to providing essential humanitarian aid, as well as education, vocational training and psychological support for refugees, asylum seekers, and other victims of conflict. We run projects in Belgium, Lebanon, and Turkey, and support other projects in Syria. Our foundational philosophy is to provide this aid without reference or discrimination towards any religious or political affiliation.
We are a small NGO that receives funding from grants, donations and other revenue. To keep up with the high demand of our services, we are looking to develop our network of partnerships and generate more funds to finance our activities. The Project Development Intern will be responsible for working towards this goal by researching and drafting proposals and delivering fundraising campaigns to help generate funding for our programs.
Roles/ Duties:
- Research new foundations/grants to apply for funding;
- Draft proposals for funding ensuring that donor requirements and guidelines are understood and met;
- Develop new donor contacts and maintain relationships with donors;
- Maintain relationships with existing partners on the ground;
- Coordinate the delivery of internal monitoring reports on our programmes.
Required skills/experience:
- Previous experience in project development and/or fundraising;
- Excellent written and oral fluency in English;
- Strong skills in communication (written and verbal), research and organization;
- Strong sense of autonomy in work, can-do attitude.
Desirable skills/experience:
- Fluency in Levantine Arabic;
- Previous experience in project monitoring and evaluation. Other details:
