CARE is a leading international humanitarian aid organisation fighting global poverty, with a special focus on working with women and girls to bring lasting change to their communities.
CARE International in Myanmar is looking to engage Project Director for an exciting project, “Generating Rubber Opportunities” (GRO) which has particular focus on women’s economic empowerment as well as on secure access to land.
The role will provide leadership, management and strategic vision to the implementation of the GRO Myanmar project. The role will engage in program representation to donors, relevant government entities, partners, other implementers and external stakeholders to lead the project in market systems development through engagement of the public and private sectors.
Your experience in implementing economic development projects using Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) approach will be highly regarded. Your experience in capacity building and skills-transfer, as well as experience mentoring staff will be complemented by your strong communication and influencing skills, including advanced written and verbal English language skills. Demonstrated skills in leadership and management in a complex international setting, as well as excellent people management and interpersonal skills including the ability to develop harmonious teams in a cross-cultural context will set you apart from others.
