Tetra Tech https://careers.tetratechintdev.com, is seeking a qualified Database Manager on a USAID-funded activity called Community Strengthening Project in Burma. This activity aims to assist communities in areas affected by or prone to conflict to improve access to essential services, recover from conflict, improve their resilience to future shocks, and empower them to more fully participate in Myanmar’s democratic transition and national reconciliation processes.
Position Description:
The Database Manager will be responsible for managing the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure of the Community Strengthening Project, including design oversight of the IT infrastructure, working with Database and Information assistants and coordinating with local IT subcontractors. The Database Administrator is also responsible for the overall integrity of the Community Strengthening Project Database and will work in close coordination with the Community Strengthening Program and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain structural integrity of the Community Strengthening Database as well as other project tolls for the collection and management of information.
· Train users as needed on the Project Database and all of its functions
· Address Community Strengthening Project Database structural issues.
· Maintain structural integrity of IT systems and the Community Strengthening Project server.
· Serve as an IT generalist and trouble shoot day-to-day office IT issues to assist with IT related problems.
· Assist Information Manager to produce regular and ad hoc project reports, maps and additional graphic representations of Community Strengthening program activities.
Actively contribute to information sharing with the Community Strengthening project.
· Perform other tasks as requested by the Chief of Party.
Qualifications:
· A degree in relevant subject, such as computer science, information technology, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
· 8 years or more experience in database operations.
· Experience with Monitoring and Evaluation data sets preferable.
· Spoken and written fluency in English.
