The Opportunity

In this role as an Emergency Response Manager, you will provide the implementation of emergency response program portfolio through strategic leadership in response planning, comprehensive project design and provision of support to EMR team in the CO and PUs so that all program objectives are met and contribute meaningfully to the strategic objectives of country office.

You will ensure that the ERM Program of 2-4 million Euro per year has strategic documents and PQP in place and are complied with at the HPU level by working with HPUMs to instil understanding and acceptance.

You will oversee a program that has 100-150 staff at any given time.

You are accountable for all budgets within the program and has the authority to approve high-level expenditures and international travel.

Represent Plan International at high level humanitarian and emergency response forums and coordination bodies.

Do you have what it takes?

In order to succeed in this role you are required to have demonstrable experience in fundraising and coordination, working with UN agencies and with INGOs. Field activity implementation and project management cycle implementation in the humanitarian sector experience is essential.

Excellent networking and representation skills in both local and international platforms.

Understanding of humanitarian principles and ability to articulate how they have complied and implemented them in the past.

Experience in conflict sensitivity programming and DNH approach. As well as previous experience managing large programs in line with donor compliance and INGO institutional principals.

Ability to use excel, word-processing and email (in Local and English language), and to draft donor reports in English.

Ability to maintain information management systems that support M&E program and CO frameworks

Negotiate and communicate with village leaders.

Type of Role: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Location: Yangon

Salary: Circa $55,000 plus benefits

Reports to: Program Director
