PURPOSE OF POSITION
The purpose of this position is to ensure that meaningful program information from internal and external sources are collected and centralized in a timely manner within WV Lebanon to support decision making, evidence generation and stronger positioning of WV Lebanon.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain, support and improve the database and database management systems;
· Develop appropriate templates for data collection, beneficiary records.
· Activity Info reporting, project tracking and data analysis in addition to Internal monthly reporting;
· Build the capacity of WVL Education and Child Protection in terms of database use (including basic analysis) through on-going support and training;
· Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support field staff when it comes to format usage and templates;
· Analyze and report regularly to the Portfolio Manager on the progress and quality of the data;
· Produce and file statistical and graphical reports.
· Attending trainings on the different tools and active participation to IM working group meetings, sharing information with the management and concerned staff eventually training them;
· Confidentiality: the position gives access to personal information of beneficiaries that must be treated carefully and that cannot be shared
· Responsible for the security of project staff, ensuring that staff abide by WVL security procedures and policies. Report any security breaches as necessary.
· Participate in personal safety training as required
· Undertake any other duties as shall be delegated by the supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Bachelor degree in Knowledge/Data Management or any relevant field of study MBA or related master degree preferred
· Previous experience in portfolio management highly desirable (managing organizational data of different sectors)
· Experience with XLSForm coding.
· Experience working with online databases and GIS application (Optional).
· Ability to consolidate information into visual presentations (factsheets, charts, graphs, tables)
· Previous experience in mapping workflows, information and processes.
· Fluent with Microsoft application such as Excel and Publisher able to code in VBA and macros.
· Strong written and verbal skills.
· Strong Presentation skills.
· 3 to 5 years of proven experience data and knowledge management;
· Excellent written and spoken English. Knowledge or Arabic language is an added advantage.
· Project Management for Development (PMD), Project Management for Professional (PMPs);
· International Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE)
