As Defeat Malaria Technical Advisor you will be responsible for supporting the Chief of Party (COP) with technical leadership of the project related to control and elimination interventions, and for direct operational oversight. You will assist the project in the implementation of activities as well as review, assessment and development of tools, SOPs and training materials and guidelines. You will also engage with the National Malaria Control Programme and other partners through technical working groups.
Requirements include:
- Medical degree and/or a Master’s degree or higher in public health, epidemiology, international health or related discipline.
- Strong communication skills, particularly advanced writing skills, report writing skills for a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience and familiarity with USAID reporting requirements.
- A minimum of eight years of experience implementing health programs, with at least six years of experience in malaria control.
- Fluency in English and the relevant other UN language, if it is officially used in the country (preferred).
- Estimated 40% travel to the field activities required.
