Your Mission:
Under the supervision of the PLE Deputy Chief of Party and with operational support of IRC Myanmar, the Program Support Manager will assist with reporting, data collection and communications in compliance with USAID funded PLE objectives. The Program Support Manager will work closely with the PLE M&E team, sub-grans team and with Senior Coordinators at field sites in South Eastern Myanmar (LoiKaw, Hpa-an and Mawlamyine) to help ensure that program activities are documented and shared in a way that is both accurate and timely, and which also highlight the impact and scope of work.
Your Job Scope includes but not limited to:
The position provides support with program monitoring and evaluation, program information and communications management, proposal development and writing, project reporting, and grants management and administration. The successful candidate will be required to develop good knowledge of PLE’s activities in both in Myanmar and along the Thai-Burma border, including PLE’s project partners in health, education, food security/livelihoods, protection, women’s protection and empowerment, and be able to make regular field visits to better understand and communicate the PLE working context.
Major Responsibilities:
Reporting
- Under the guidance of the Deputy Chief of Party, manage the grant reporting process for narrative program reports according to prescribed project formats, criteria and deadlines.
- Assist M&E and field teams with preparing progress reports including graphical presentation of project data.
- Build reporting capacity of PLE staff and partners through both formal and informal training and one-on-one mentoring
- Manage and update the electronic grants tracking and documentation systems
Outreach/Communications
· Assist the M&E team in liaising with the field teams in order to regularly update program materials.
· Responsible for the writing and regular updating of program communications materials, and ensure that appropriate orientation, background information and briefing materials are provided to any visitors, donor delegations, VIPs, and consultants.
· Assist with visit/event organization as needed.
General
· Provide the Programs Unit with a high level of support in the day-to-day management and administration of grants and programs.
· Represent IRC and the project at internal and external meetings, and write up minutes and briefings where needed.
· Undertake other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor
Working Environment*:*
· Understanding the context of political transition, ceasefire with ethnic groups and peace process in Myanmar
· Willingness and flexibility to travel to project sites
Education
· Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
· Understanding of working in a multicultural environment
· Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop
Experiences
· Experience in international humanitarian/development work
· Minimum 2 years experience in program cycle management and grant/report writing
· Experience with USAID funded projects a plus
Competencies
· Ability to analyze and synthesize complex materials and documents with attentions to details
· Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment under regular deadlines
· Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
· Computer proficient, with experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
Language
· Excellent English grammar skills and writing ability
