JOB CONTEXT :
The position of Operational Coordinator is attached to the Myanmar/Thaïland program within the Direction of Development Action.
Thaïland program and Myanmar program, respectively in place since 1984 and 2014 (reopening after the Nargis cyclone intervention), merged into a unique regional program in January 2016 with the objective of facilitating cross borders interventions and preparation for returnees from Thaïland to Myanmar.
The Myanmar/Thaïland program strategy is built around 5 key pillars:
Inclusive disaster risk reduction (Myanmar)
Support to civil society (Myanmar)
Access to services and local policy-making processes (Myanmar)
Physical rehabilitation and social inclusion services for refugees (Thailand)
Victim Assistance and Mine Risk Education (Myanmar & Thailand)
YOUR MISSION:
Context
Myanmar-Thaïland Operational Coordinator is a member of the senior management team who reports directly to the Regional Program Director. At the same time, he/she will manage a team of four project managers (PM).
Myanmar-Thaïland Operational Coordinator works in close collaboration with:
the Regional Support Services Coordinator, in order to ensure the correct provision of finance, administration, human resources and logistics services to the projects.
the Regional Program Coordinator to guarantee continuous access to technical resources and support for the project cycle management side.
the Technical Resources Direction (TRD) in HI Headquarters to ensure the development of HI policies, strategies & methodologies on the field in accordance with HI Global Strategy and mandate as well as to contribute to documentation (capitalization) and lessons learnt process at the global level
This position requires numerous regular travels within Myanmar. Some travels to Thailand are to be considered, for participation to coordination bodies or facilitation of cross cutting exchanges between the two main sites of the program.

Ensuring the project teams’ management and coaching
Ensuring quality and relevancy for all projects’ managements
Leading of proposals and reports’ writing and submitting in keeping with the donors guidelines and contracts
Participating in networking and working closely with project partners and all stakeholders
CANDIDATE’S PROFILE :
You hold a master degree in disability studies, inclusive development, public health, social work or any other relevant field
You have at least 04 years of experience as a project/ program manager in the field of disability and development
You hold a proven track record in community based rehabilitation, disability management, institutional strengthening and organizational capacity development in the development context.
You have excellent English communication skills (both oral & written)
You are a strong self-manager with proven ability on multi-tasking, setting priorities and reaching targets

Security conditions: stable context despite the occasional happening of natural disasters and the interdiction to travel to the 3 southernmost insurgent provinces (Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, Songkla, Satun).
CONDITIONS:
Starting date : 19.09.2016
Lengthof thecontract:** 12 months renewable
Employee contract
2153-2573€ regarding the position and the experience of the candidate + expatriation allowance of €457 (+ cost-of-living regarding the allocation basis on field) + medical health coverage, retirement planning, repatriation insurance, allowances for spouse and child(ren).
Family posting is an option with perdiem allowances for spouse and child(ren), participation to schooling fees, annual plane ticket, etc
